THIS MESSAGE RINGS TRUE NO MATTER WHAT YOU BELIEVE

Posted by Doug on July 21, 2009

Peace and love are built on optimism, love and trust of self, of others and of the world that it is as it should be.

Saint Theresa’s Prayer

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

PATHWAYS THAT LEAD TO PEACE!

The path of knowledge (Gyana Yoga) has the flavor of mystery. You sense the inexplicability of life. You experience the wonder inside every experience.
The path of devotion (Bhakti Yoga) has the flavor of love. You experience sweetness inside every experience.
The path of action (Karma Yoga) has the flavor of selflessness. You experience the correctedness of every experience.
The path of meditation and inner silence (Raj Yoga) has the flavor of stillness. You experience the being  inside every experience.

SPACIOUSNESS CAN LEAD TO PEACE

Posted by Doug on July 4, 2009

Spaciousness which includes love for all mankind can lead to Peace.

Possibly the most awesome moment for the astronauts, for mankind and human spaciousness, could have been what they experienced thousands of miles in space, looking out the window of their shuttle, both the grandeur and vastness of the heavens and the magnificence of our home, their home, earth! What a breath taking moment that must have been! How could they not have a deep sense of wonder and gratitude from this moment, for their lives and for a sense of mankind’s history, destiny and earthly unity. If we could see ourselves from this perspective each day I believe that we could not help but work toward oneness and peace. How would they have felt from that perspective if they could see the tragedy of wars taking place, of death and destruction or the threat of a large asteroid approaching their home? Would they, we, just have compassion for their, our, family and loved ones or would this compassion have the spaciousness to include all of earths people, friends and enemies, all races, colors and creeds, believers and non -believers. I am sure this compassion would extend to all plant and animal life as well, every living creature that inhabits this planet, “and God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good” Genesis 1:31 would be included in their love and prayers. If we could somehow live this moment each and every day, how would we be changed, how would our world be focused toward oneness, unity and love?
